ECOMB's first coal-fired unit worth over 1.6M€!

ECOMB AB has been awarded a mile stone contract to install an Ecotube System on a coal-fired boiler. France has been ECOMB´s strongest and most successful market during the past, so it came as no surprise this new contract was signed there. However, a most positive aspect of the contract is that it is a coal-fired boiler. ECOMB has been marketing the Ecotube System for coal combustion in numerous markets, particularly in the USA, but so far without any real success. Coal is nowadays also a rare fuel in France, so it was a bit surprising that we should receive our first mile stone contract there. The district heating plant is located in the suburbs of St Ouen, close to river Seine in northern Paris. The main objective for this contract with CPCU is NOx reduction on one of the two sister units, including an option for the other one. These boilers use hard coal as the fuel, which is combusted in suspension above a stoker grate. This "Ignifluid System" was developed by the French company STEIN and similar combustion plants can be found mainly in USA and Germany. The contract value is approximately €1.6M so 2008 starts off in style.
