We received an order during February 2009 for a demonstration system from Karlskoga Energi. An Ecotube System was installed on the waste incinerator in 1999 and has been in operation since. The Ecotube System has optimized the combustion process by “stage combustion”, thus reducing emissions of NOx and CO without the need of injection of Urea or Ammonia. This project will demonstrate how the Ecotube Air Staging can be combined with Ecotube SNCR technology in order to reduce emissions of NOx further down. Within the scope of the project the Ecotube System will be fitted with two new Ecotubes designed with internal distribution systems for ammonia, pump skid, flow meter, valves etc. The demonstration system will be operational in May and an evaluation ready before the summer shut-down of 2009.
